Lautaro Martinez s move to Serie A giants Inter is 90 per cent complete , according to Racing Club president Victor Blanco.

The 20-year-old striker has been strongly linked with a move away from Argentina for several months and appeared to be closing in on a switch to Atletico Madrid towards the end of 2017.

But Atletico angered Racing by putting Martinez through medical examinations that had not been agreed to by his club, and negotiations subsequently stalled.

David de Gea is optimistic about Manchester United s chances of challenging for silverware in 2016-17.

The Old Trafford side endured a disappointing 2015-16 campaign as they missed out on Champions League football, finishing fifth in the Premier League table.

Groningen captain Kees Kwakman has announced his decision to leave the club after two seasons.

Defender Kwakman signed for the Eredivisie side in 2011 and has 49 appearances for the club, scoring just one goal against RKC Waalwijk in November.
After a disappointing first season at the club, when they finished 14th, Groningen improved this season and qualified for the European play-off with a seventh-placed finish.
They met sixth-placed FC Twente in their semi-final but were beaten 4-2 on aggregate.
With the season complete Kwakman announced his decision to leave the club, explaining that he wanted to move abroad and test himself in a different league.

The midfielder s contract expires next summer, and he has revealed that there have been talks of a new deal but nothing has been decided yet.

Since the arrival of Nemanja Matić in 2017, the Spaniard has seen his game-time significantly reduced and is therefore not certain he would like to remain at Old Trafford past the expiration date on his current contract.
